Job Responsibilities

The Sr. Procurement Specialist, Indirect Categories - EMEA is responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers capable of effectively providing required products and services at a competitive price; preparing and issuing comprehensive Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP); analyzing RFI and RFP responses and preparing corresponding recommendations, including cost/benefit analysis, to key stakeholders and management; developing and negotiating complex purchasing agreements; effectively managing supplier performance and problem resolution; and the timely and thorough completion of special projects as assigned by the Director, Corporate Procurement. The Procurement Specialist, Indirect Category - EMEA is also responsible for the administration of various Procurement programs and initiatives that drive operational efficiency and effectiveness, such as: the Procurement Card Program; the Contract Management System; Key Supplier Risk Management Program and Procurement Policies and Procedures.

Essentail functions:

o Performs all duties related to supplier evaluation, selection and performance management.
o Prepares and issues comprehensive Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFI)
o Analyzes RFI and RFP responses, and presents corresponding recommendations, including cost/ benefit analysis, to key stakeholders and management.
o Develops and negotiates complex purchasing agreements. Collaborates with the company’s Legal Department in this regard.
o Prepares comprehensive spreadsheets to analyze financial options and support recommendations.
o Counsels requestors and end-users, as required, on the use of and compliance with the company’s Procurement Policies and Procedures.
o Provides procurement process instruction and training to requestors and end-users as required.
o Regularly solicits supplier performance feedback from requestors and end-users.
o Periodically meets with assigned commodity suppliers to review performance and insure corrective action, as required.
o Administers the region’s Contract Management System to insure the timely review and assessment
of expiring contracts.
o Administers the region’s Procurement Card Program
o Administers the region’s Key Supplier Risk Management Program
o Assists Director and Procurement Specialist/Program Administrator – North America in creating Procurement Policies and Procedures
o Other duties as assigned by Director, Corporate Procurement.
Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree required
o 4+ years indirect procurement experience
o Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) status preferred
o Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail a must
o Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required
o Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn required
o Solid project management skills
o Customer service orientation required
o Solid Microsoft Office experience, including Microsoft Excel required
o Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage one’s time effectively
o Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
